About DVT Airport

Deer Valley Airport serves to relieve air traffic from Phoenix Sky Harbor. As such, the Airport is capable of accommodating all segments of civil aviation except commercial passenger service. Safety is a top priority at Deer Valley Airport.

The Airport offers a complete range of services including fueling, avionics repair, maintenance, parts, flight training, new and used aircraft sales, and aircraft rentals. Cutter Aviation is its fixed-based operator and the airport is home to nearly 1,100 aircraft.

The Airport encompasses approximately 914 acres of property and is located 15 miles north of downtown Phoenix near the intersection of Interstate 17 and Loop 101. South side access is from Deer Valley Road. North side access is via Airport Road and Seventh Street.

In 2025, DVT was the ninth busiest airport in North America for takeoffs and landings and the 13th busiest in the world, according to world airport traffic rankings released by Airports Council International (ACI) World. DVT had nearly 500,000 take offs and landings, making it the busiest general aviation airport in North America. A terminal modernization project is in the planning phase, focused on creating a more open, modern look while keeping the building’s current structure and operational layout.
