Blast Pad Project Enters Second Phase

The Blast Pad Project at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport is progressing slightly ahead of schedule. Phase 1 of the project, which includes the blast pads at both ends of Runway 7L/25R, was completed Nov. 2. Phase 2 of the project, which includes the blast pads at both ends of Runway 7R/25L, will begin Nov. 5 and is expected to be completed on or about Dec. 11. During Phase 2, Runway 7R/25L will be closed nightly, Sunday through Thursday nights, from 8 p.m to 6 a.m. the following morning.
